The P5 class had a wonderful afternoon with a special visitor – Janice from the Lyric Theatre – who led a drama workshop based on The Velveteen Rabbit, a story the children recently enjoyed at the theatre.
During the workshop, the children took part in a variety of engaging games. These included warm-up activities to get everyone moving and focused, as well as games designed to help explore and understand the characters from the story more deeply. The session was both fun and educational, encouraging creativity, teamwork and empathy.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to bring the story to life and experience drama in an exciting and interactive way.
