Randalstown Central Primary School

Almost There

19th Jun 2026

Primary 7 have had an action-packed week as they head in to their final week at Central. From preparing for the Leavers’ Assembly to leading the school conga, they have been busy creating lasting memories… next week we take it on the road as they head to Enniskillen for their residential trip.

On Tuesday, they enjoyed the School Council’s Fun Day. From one last bounce on the bouncy castle to the donuts and ice cream, the children made the most of it all.

Wednesday saw the children staying after school for the Leavers’ BBQ; we would again like to thank the parents who cooked a delicious BBQ and the local businesses (Eurospar Cullybackey, Maine Soft Drinks, McManus Hardware and Dale farm) who kindly donated essentials. The children took part in a much anticipated game of Hide n Seek… where it is safe to say the hiding was much stronger than the seeking! After the BBQ, it was time for the annual water fight, which began with photo-shoot that caused a bit of a splash. During the water fight, I am sure it was accidental that the children soaked the teachers… it was definitely not an accident in return though!

Yesterday, the children enjoyed a day of board games (a reward they had earnt for their hardwork, respect and kindness earlier in the term) and participating in the danceathon. Any suggestion of teachers lacking dance skills are strongly refuted, but it safe to say the P7s brought the best moves!

This afternoon they are holding a ‘farewell sale’ with limited stock of their unique, one-of-a-kind T-shirts, bags and hats available from 2pm in the bike shed.

Here are a few photos of the week.
