I’d like to put on record my best wishes to Mrs Geraldine Carville who retires from her role as Principal today from our neighbouring maintained school Mount St Michael’s Primary School.
Geraldine has been a teacher and later the Principal of Mount St Michael’s for 35 years and her leadership has been instrumental in building the close partnership between our two schools over the years.
Geraldine was the first Principal to contact me to wish me well in my job in Randalstown Central Primary School over 21 Years ago…and her fulsome welcome and support forged a link between the schools that has led to where we are now, with hardly a week going by when some of our classes aren't in Mount St Michael’s PS and some of their classes aren't here with us !
Mrs Barclay and I were pleased to represent the school and the staff when we attended a celebration service last night for Mrs Carville, and everyone here in ‘The Central’ wishes Geraldine a long, healthy and happy retirement.
