Primary 4 and 5 had a great morning as they had a visit from the NI Water Bus. The morning was split into two sessions – Cleaning Water and the Water Cycle. We learnt all about the process that is required to clean the rainwater that is delivered to our homes and had the opportunity to see one of the steps being done by watching the water pass through sand to be cleaned. We also had a discussion about the things we should flush down the toilet and sorted them into bin or flush. We then went upstairs in the bus where we learnt all about the water cycle. The children learnt lots of amazing facts throughout the visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks to NI Water for coming along and to Mrs McVicker for organising it for us!
